K-Pop First Listens: A Community-Curated Playlist
Earlier this year, I fell down a rabbit hole.
But instead of Wonderland, I landed in Stayville, where a K-Pop group called Stray Kids stole my heart and my wallet. Little did I know that the forest was wide, and I’d be traveling endlessly through winding fandoms.
Luckily, I wasn’t alone; I met some friends to guide me along the way. Fans of K-Pop are remarkably welcoming, so when I posted on Threads asking for recommendations for new songs, I received an overwhelming list of over 200 songs by more than 50 different artists:
Some bands were somewhat familiar to me, like Ateez, BTS, and Enhypen, but I’d never heard of most other artists.
I’m having so much fun discovering new music! Here are just a few of my favorites from this list so far:
